What's up, my Greats!

Let me ask you a question that might make you uncomfortable.

What is your dream actually worth to you?

Not what you say it's worth.

What are you willing to sacrifice for it?

Because those are two very different things.

Everybody talks about wanting success.

Everybody wants financial freedom.

Everybody wants to build a business, leave a legacy, and live with purpose.

But very few people are willing to exchange what they have today for what they could have tomorrow.

Jesus painted a powerful picture:

"The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field."
— Matthew 13:44

Notice something.

The man didn't complain about the cost.

He celebrated the value.

That's the mindset shift.

Stop Focusing on What You're Losing

Most people look at sacrifice the wrong way.

"I have to wake up earlier."

"I have to give up weekends."

"I have to stop wasting money."

"I have to cut back on distractions."

Wrong.

You don't have to.

You get to.

Because every sacrifice is an investment in the person you're becoming.

The man wasn't mourning what he sold.

He was celebrating what he found.

Treasure Changes Priorities

You always make time for what you truly value.

You don't need more hours.

You need clearer priorities.

If something is genuinely valuable to you, your calendar, your spending, your habits, and your focus will reveal it.

Your life is already telling the truth.

Good Things Often Cost Great Things

Here's the hard part.

Sometimes you have to give up something good to receive something greater.

Comfort.

Approval.

Entertainment.

Old habits.

Even relationships that keep pulling you backward.

That's not punishment.

That's pruning.

You can't keep grabbing hold of your future while refusing to let go of your past.

Not Everything Belongs in Your Net

Later in the chapter, Jesus talks about fishermen sorting their catch.

They keep what has value.

They throw away what doesn't.

Entrepreneurs need to hear that.

Everything competing for your attention doesn't deserve your attention.

Every opportunity isn't your opportunity.

Every client isn't your client.

Every partnership isn't your partnership.

Discernment is just as important as ambition.

Success isn't only about what you say yes to.

It's also about what you're willing to leave behind.

Here's the Bottom Line

Your future will always require an exchange.

You don't drift into greatness.

You decide.

You sacrifice.

You commit.

The question isn't whether success costs something.

It does.

The real question is whether you've discovered something valuable enough that the price no longer scares you.

Because when you've truly found your treasure...

Sacrifice stops feeling like sacrifice.

It starts feeling like purpose.

So stop counting the cost.

Start focusing on the value.

The life you're praying for is worth more than the comfort you're protecting.

Now go make it happen!
