You’re Too Casual About Your Calling

What's up, my Greats!
Let me say something that might hit a nerve:
You’ve gotten too casual with the thing you once prayed for.
The vision.
The opportunity.
The calling on your life.
At some point, familiarity replaced reverence.
And that’s dangerous.
In Isaiah 6, there’s this powerful moment where Isaiah sees the Lord sitting on the throne in all His glory, and his entire perspective changes instantly.
“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory.”
— Isaiah 6:3
Isaiah’s response wasn’t arrogance.
It wasn’t self-confidence.
It wasn’t ego.
It was awe.
And honestly? A lot of entrepreneurs need that again.
You’re Building… But Have You Forgotten Why?
It’s easy to get caught up in metrics.
Money.
Views.
Growth.
Status.
Recognition.
And before you know it, the mission becomes more about performance than purpose.
You start chasing applause instead of alignment.
But when Isaiah encountered something holy, he immediately became aware of himself.
“Woe to me!... I am ruined!”
— Isaiah 6:5
Why?
Because real encounters expose what’s fake, shallow, prideful, distracted, and out of order inside of us.
Reverence Creates Clarity
Some of you are asking for direction when what you really need is reverence.
Because when your perspective gets bigger, your distractions get smaller.
You stop obsessing over petty things.
You stop chasing every trend.
You stop needing validation from everybody.
Why?
Because you remember this thing is bigger than you.
Pride Will Corrupt the Calling
Let’s be blunt.
A lot of talented people sabotage themselves because they start worshipping the gift instead of respecting the Giver.
Success without humility is dangerous.
The moment you think:
“I built this by myself.”
“I don’t need guidance.”
“I’ve outgrown discipline.”
You’re already drifting.
The Fire Refines Before It Sends
In Isaiah’s vision, a coal touches his lips before he’s sent out.
That matters.
Before expansion comes refinement.
Before influence comes cleansing.
Before assignment comes surrender.
Everybody wants impact.
Few people want refining.
Because refining burns.
It forces you to confront:
- Ego
- Laziness
- Distractions
- Compromise
- Misaligned priorities
But that process is necessary.
Then Comes the Question
After the refining, God asks:
“Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”
— Isaiah 6:8
And Isaiah responds:
“Here am I. Send me!”
That’s the energy.
Not:
“Use somebody else.”
“Wait until I’m comfortable.”
“Maybe later.”
No.
Immediate availability.
Here’s the Bottom Line
You don’t need more hype.
You need deeper reverence.
You need to remember why you started.
Who gave you the opportunity.
And what this is really about.
Because when you approach your calling casually, you drift.
But when you approach it with reverence, focus returns. Discipline returns. Purpose returns.
So stop treating your assignment like it’s ordinary.
You were trusted with something meaningful.
Honor it.
Protect it.
Refine yourself for it.
And when the moment comes to step up fully…
Be ready to say:
“Here am I. Send me.”
Now go make it happen!
